How to visit

Come as you are.Sit, or stay in the car.

GreenWood Lights is a residential xLights show — sequenced pixels, FM in the driveway, and speakers in the yard. Halloween is down right now: decorations and lights came in for the hurricane, and we’ll put them back out as soon as we can. Check Facebook before you drive out. Christmas is still on the calendar.

  1. Step 1

    Drive out County Road 24

We're at 10720, in the country west of Fairhope. It gets dark out here — that's part of the magic. Follow the glow.

  2. Step 2

    Park on the shoulder

Leave driveways clear. Headlights off once you're stopped so everyone behind you can see the house.

  3. Step 3

Stay in the car, or take a seat

There's a seating area if you'd like to get out. Please stay in that area — don't walk through the display.

  4. Step 4

    Hear the show

96.9 FM in the car, or the speakers in the yard if you're sitting down. Same soundtrack either way.

Construction comes and goes on this stretch of road. If the lane looks rough, take it slow — the show is still here.

In the car

96.9FM

Low-power transmitter, car-radio range, and speakers in the seating area. Halloween and Christmas each have their own sequences. Same soundtrack in the car or in the yard.

The Halloween sequences are locked in. We took the decorations and lights down for the hurricane — the list goes up when they’re back out. Hopefully soon.

The family

From our family to yours.

We've lived on County Road 24 for years — out where the streetlights give up and the trees take over. GreenWood Lights started as a homegrown Christmas for the kids on our road. It grew into two xLights seasons: a spooktacular Halloween and a magical Christmas, with an FM transmitter humming in the yard.

This is still a house, not a festival. We sequence the music ourselves, we fix strings after storms, and we post the night's plan on Facebook because that's where our people already are. If the lights aren't running when you pull up, we probably just opened — or the weather asked us to wait. Message us. We try our best to write back.

Fairhope already glows downtown. Out here, the show is smaller, closer, and meant to be watched from the car or a seat in the yard.
